Job summary

Vital Care Infusion Services is seeking a Billing Specialist to process referrals and manage claims to reduce denials and improve collection rates. The role emphasizes credentialing, re-credentialing, and contract applications while collaborating with franchise partners to optimize revenue.

The position requires strong English communication, two years in medical billing or collections, and familiarity with pharmacy software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with billing experience.
• Two years’ intake, medical billing, and/or collections experience.
• Two years of home infusion therapy is required.
• Coding course certification is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient files for completeness and accuracy; audit claims and submit billing to payers.
• Communicate with franchise partners and other departments on order intake status.
• Document activity and correspondence to ensure complete account records; schedule follow-ups.
• Investigate and verify benefits for pharmacy and medical third-party claims.
• Obtain prior authorizations; track progress and expedite responses from payers.
• Track, report, and elevate service issues delaying authorizations or therapy access.
• Explain therapy costs to patients before starting service; maintain transparency.
• Contribute to training materials and policies for RCM team and assist with online adjudication.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
