Job summary

IES is seeking a Technician II - Infrastructure to read blueprints, determine scope, and identify materials and tools. You will install electrical conduit, assemble components, and mount backboards for racks and equipment.

You will supervise crew performance, coordinate timelines, and ensure accurate documentation. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to company and customer standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an electrician or related technical field and ability to supervise others.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements.
• Must know universal color codes for communications.
• Must meet company driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specs to determine scope, location, quantities and materials.
• Cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools.
• Build closets, mount backboards and install grounding for racks and equipment.
• Observe equipment to identify hazards and determine adjustments or replacements.
• Fabricate and install conduit (EMT, PVC, rigid & aluminum) and raceways.
• Install cable trays and raceway systems; manage crew performance and training.
• Complete IES paperwork accurately (timesheets, orders, transfers).
• Adhere to safety, quality standards and regulations.
