Job summary

MRO Corporation seeks a Systems Engineer, Manager to lead a team supporting enterprise infrastructure services. You will oversee day-to-day workflow, prioritization, escalation, and service delivery for analysts handling systems, platforms, incidents, requests, and maintenance activities.

You will coordinate with engineering, security, application, and network teams to align activities with business priorities, change management, and standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with leadership experience in IT/enterprise infrastructure.
• 5+ years in systems engineering, infrastructure services, or related enterprise IT role.
• 3+ years leading technical teams responsible for infrastructure services and operational support.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server operations, virtualization, identity services, monitoring, and related platforms.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, and secure connectivity.
• Experience managing incidents, queues, requests, escalations, change records using ITSM platforms like Jira Service Management.
• Experience with monitoring/observability tools (DataDog, SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) for alerting and incident response.
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and communicate with leadership and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to develop teams and improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of Systems Engineer analysts for daily infrastructure operations and incident response.
• Manage workload, queues, priorities, assignments, and escalation paths for timely support.
• Coordinate analyst response to incidents, recurring issues, service degradation, capacity concerns, risks.
• Serve as primary escalation and coordination point for analyst workflow with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure adherence to runbooks, change management, access controls, and documentation standards.
• Support infrastructure changes, patching, upgrades, deployments, and maintenance windows with validated readiness.
• Review ticket quality, runbooks, and knowledge-base articles for continuous improvement.
• Track performance metrics, SLA adherence, incident trends, and provide leadership with updates.
