Job summary

Footprint is seeking a Member of Technical Staff (Infrastructure) to own and evolve its infrastructure that supports identity verification at scale. You will lead agent compute, observability, CI/CD, and scheduling decisions while collaborating with product teams to deliver reliable infrastructure for regulated data.

Qualifications

• 4+ years operating production infrastructure on a major cloud.
• Fluency with infrastructure-as-code and declarative management.
• Strong observability: metrics, traces, logs, alerting for fast incidents.
• Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and build/deploy systems for an org.
• Depth on relational databases, especially Postgres.
• Bias toward leverage: tooling to make the team faster.
• Comfort holding several competing priorities at once.
• Comfort at an early-stage company taking ownership of a function.

Responsibilities

• Own agent compute provisioning, deployment, isolation, and scaling.
• Define observability across Rust services and AI agents.
• Own CI/CD and per-PR ephemeral environments, including merge queue, code review tooling, and testing strategy.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions for task scheduling as the company scales.
• Develop a great developer experience for Footprint engineers with tooling and processes.
• Contribute to product code when needed to solve a specific infrastructure problem.
