The Role

This is a highly technical, hands-on role for someone who thinks beyond traditional DevOps. You'll own infrastructure reliability, scalability, and observability while pushing toward a future where infrastructure increasingly manages itself through AI agents and intelligent automation. You'll work across cloud infrastructure, deployment systems, monitoring, security, and incident response, building the tools and workflows that allow a small engineering team to move exceptionally fast without compromising reliability. Build agentic infrastructure: Design and implement AI-powered workflows for infrastructure provisioning, deployments, monitoring, incident detection, and automated remediation. Own reliability at scale: Architect resilient, secure, and scalable cloud infrastructure that supports rapidly evolving AI products and workloads. Make systems observable: Build comprehensive logging, metrics, distributed tracing, and alerting systems that provide actionable visibility into production health. Automate operational complexity: Eliminate repetitive infrastructure work through intelligent automation, self-service tooling, and agent-driven operations. Own infrastructure lifecycle management: Drive cloud security hygiene, dependency upgrades, runtime migrations, and infrastructure modernization from design through production. Improve developer velocity: Build infrastructure platforms and workflows that make deploying, debugging, and operating services effortless for engineers. Raise the engineering bar: Mentor engineers, establish technical standards, and influence architectural decisions through hands-on technical leadership. Staff-level engineering expertise with deep experience in Infrastructure, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
