Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team in Rockville, MD, supporting a high-visibility HHS IT services effort. You will guide design, implementation, and operation of infrastructure across networks, data centers, and cloud platforms, ensuring reliable performance and security.

Qualifications

• The candidate will lead design, implementation, and operation of Infrastructure services in a government-context environment.
• Must have strong program/project management experience and ability to lead multiple projects concurrently.
• U.S. Citizenship, ability to obtain Public Trust, and residency in the U.S. for 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation and maintain designated service delivery infrastructure across network, storage, servers, and middleware.
• Plan, execute, and operate infrastructure projects aligned with customer requirements and SLAs.
• Ensure reliable production system operation with maximum availability per SLAs.
• Evaluate and install tools for infrastructure operations; troubleshoot and report issues.
• Coordinate with infrastructure teams for incident remediation and escalation with customers.
• Implement and manage scheduling tools for job execution and workflows.
• Facilitate technical meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and status updates.
• Provide weekly and monthly progress, cost, schedule, QA, CM, and security reporting.
• Support change management, communications, and training for new services.
• Identify risks and develop contingency plans; manage program budgets and procurement monitoring.
• Assist budgeting for annual operational costs and ensure compliance with government SLAs.
