Job summary

AF Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II to maintain secure, highly available computing platforms, servers and networks. You will install, upgrade, monitor, and optimize the infrastructure, respond to incidents, and participate in disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required.
• Certification or progress toward certification of, industry-recognized professional designation preferred and encouraged.
• Combinations of relevant education and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Experience within IT environments with multi-site, multi-platform support and on-call requirements.

Responsibilities

• May act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership for lower level employees.
• Mentors and accepts trouble reports from operations and less experienced technical support personnel.
• Plans for replacement of obsolete resources; recommends new software/hardware and documents rationale.
• Coordinates installation of new equipment and ensures up-to-date licensing and vendor agreements.
• Build, support, and maintain data/system protection with backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as needed and manage middleware applications' hand-offs.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation; plan and perform disaster recovery exercises.
