Job summary

AF Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II to manage secure, highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks. You will install, maintain, upgrade, and improve the operating environment while ensuring reliability, performance and support.

This role includes incident response, on-call duties, and growth planning across multi-cloud environments. Responsibilities include deploying new technologies, designing and testing server OS, networks, and utilities; mentoring staff;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; professional designation preferred.
• 5 years IT experience in multi-site, multi-platform environments; insurance industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• May act as a technical project lead or provide work leadership.
• Participates in and may lead groups/committees related to processes, standards and best practices.
• Mentors and accepts trouble reports from operations and less experienced staff.
• Plans for replacement of obsolete resources in computer infrastructure.
• Coordinates installation of new equipment or relocation of existing equipment.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of system testing and analysis.
• Ensures security and data retention compliance across data management processes.
• Builds and maintains protection of company data via backups and DR solutions.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as needed during rotation.
• Develops and maintains technical documentation for infrastructure and applications.
