Job summary

AF Group is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II to manage secure, highly available computing platforms, servers, and networks in a multi-cloud environment. The role focuses on installing, upgrading, and improving the operating environment while ensuring reliability, performance and support.

Responsibilities include incident response, on-call support, middleware planning, and vendor coordination. Strong knowledge of AD, Windows, Linux, networking, and automation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required.
• Certification or progress toward certification preferred.
• Combinations of education and work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Continuous learning required.

Responsibilities

• May act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership for lower level staff.
• Participates in and may lead groups/committees related to processes, standards and best practices.
• Mentors and accepts trouble reports from operations and less experienced personnel.
• Plans for replacement of obsolete resources that comprise computer infrastructure.
• Coordinates installation of new equipment and ensures up-to-date licensing and support.
• Builds and maintains security, backups, redundancy and disaster recovery solutions.
