Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field required; professional designation preferred.
• 5 years in an IT environment with PC support; insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong customer support, troubleshooting and communication abilities.
• Experience in multi-site, multi-platform environments and on-call support.

Responsibilities

• May act as a technical project leader or provide work leadership for lower level employees.
• Mentors and accepts trouble reports from operations and less experienced staff.
• Plans for replacement of obsolete resources in computer infrastructure.
• Recommends software/hardware and prepares supporting documentation.
• Ensures security, data retention and backups across systems.
• Supports middleware upgrades and security patches; assists development as technical lead.
