Job summary

Astronomer is seeking Software Engineers to help build and operate the infrastructure behind Astro across multi-tenant cloud and private cloud deployments. You will work on Kubernetes, cloud networking, infrastructure-as-code, and production operations from day one, with guidance from senior engineers toward independent ownership.

Qualifications

• 0–4 years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Proficient in Linux, networking basics, and scripting (Python/Go/Bash).
• Experience with cloud providers or on-prem Kubernetes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and maintain infrastructure code and platform services using Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code and infrastructure change reviews to ensure production readiness.
• Operate and troubleshoot cloud resources, Kubernetes clusters, networking, and observability tooling.
• Identify and fix bugs and misconfigurations with guidance from senior engineers.
• Maintain runbooks and technical docs for systems touched.
• Build knowledge of distributed systems and Astronomer's platform architecture.
