Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate a scalable ingress data plane and service mesh. You will ensure stability and performance of global load balancing and DNS/CDN infrastructure, using automation and IaC to accelerate delivery at scale.

You will collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to break silos and drive cross‑team excellence across a massive fleet. 3+ years in Go/Python and AWS are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years with Go or Python programming
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud experience
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling and building pipelines
• Experience with networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP)
• Understanding of Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)

Responsibilities

• Design and operate a scalable, resilient ingress data plane for global service mesh and load balancing
• Leverage automation and infrastructure‑as‑code to accelerate development and ship safe, incremental changes
• Evolve DNS and CDN infrastructure to enable high-performance, scalable environments
