Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is expanding its Container Fabric team in a role that focuses on scalable, resilient Kubernetes platform orchestration.

You will drive automation, tooling and operate Day 1/Day 2 work across global production environments, ensuring high availability and reliable platform delivery. The role demands strong Kubernetes and Go skills, production incident management experience, and a willingness to work across time zones on a world‑class observability platform.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering environments.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes primitives (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services) and building Kubernetes operators.
• Strong Go programming skills for systems programming and automation.
• Experience managing production stability, monitoring, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance a Kubernetes infrastructure platform to ensure availability and reliability.
• Evolve internal tooling to streamline platform delivery across global teams.
• Manage Day 1 and Day 2 operations for Kubernetes clusters with modern scaling frameworks.
• Partner with engineering to handle production environments and high-severity incident responses.
