Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the Container Fabric team. You will own a Kubernetes infrastructure platform, building scalable, highly available systems that empower engineering groups across the globe.

You will develop Go-based tooling, improve automation, and drive Day 1/Day 2 operations while collaborating with a supportive team to resolve incidents efficiently. The company supports flexible, office-based, remote, or hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Background in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering managing production environments.
• Deep working knowledge of Kubernetes primitives (Deployments, StatefulSets, Services) and custom Operators.
• Go for systems programming and infrastructure automation.
• Production stability experience and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and enhance a massive Kubernetes infrastructure platform for peak availability and reliability.
• Evolve internal tooling to reduce manual overhead and streamline platform delivery globally.
• Manage Day 1 and Day 2 operations for Kubernetes clusters with modern scaling frameworks.
• Partner with engineering teams to handle production environments and high-severity incidents.
