Job summary

ALTEN Mexico seeks an Intermediate Systems Requirements Engineer for the Infotainment subsystem. Acts as the liaison between Design & Release Engineers and System Architects, translating technical and regulatory needs into precise requirements for hardware and software components.

The role uses IBM DOORS for requirements management, RTC for workflow, and JIRA for issue tracking, contributing to SDLC activities and DFMEA analyses to ensure reliability and quality.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Computer Systems, Software or Telecommunications.
• Requirements Engineering: 3–5 years of definition, management, and elicitation experience.
• IBM DOORS: 3–5 years of experience for requirements management.
• RTC: 2–3 years of workflow management experience.
• JIRA: 2–3 years of issue tracking experience.
• SDLC: 3–5 years of SDLC involvement.
• HW/SW Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: 3–5 years of experience.
• Systems Engineering Methodologies: 3–5 years of experience.
• CAN/LIN Protocols: 3–5 years of experience.
• Embedded Systems Knowledge: 3–5 years of experience.
• DFMEA: 1–5 years; DFSS: 1–3 years.
• CATIA V5: 1–3 years of model visualization or review.
• Apple CarPlay / Android Auto integration/validation: 2–5 years.
• Python/C/C++: 1–3 years for scripting/automation.
• Vehicle safety regulations: 1–3 years.

Responsibilities

• Write, update, and maintain technical requirements for Infotainment and related subsystems across production phases.
• Elicit requirements through stakeholder interviews and workshops.
• Use IBM DOORS for requirements management and traceability.
• Perform system requirements analysis and support design of infotainment hardware/software.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for hardware–software integration.
• Assist in SDLC activities and system architecture tasks.
• Identify and resolve hardware/software failures; perform diagnostics.
• Track progress with RTC and JIRA across SDLC activities.
• Conduct DFMEA analyses to mitigate risks and ensure reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and reports.
