Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Senior Requirements Engineer to join our automotive systems team in Troy, MI. You will lead domain- and system-level requirements definition, analysis, documentation, and verification to ensure alignment with vehicle architecture and program goals.

You will collaborate with system, software, and hardware engineers, drive traceability, and support project decisions. Willingness to travel/relocate across the U.S. is required to support client projects.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical, electrical or computer engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience; 1 year in Electrified Powertrain System Engineering and DFMEA.
• Willingness to travel/relocate for client projects across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced engineering knowledge to support automotive system development.
• Lead definition, analysis, documentation, and validation of system and software requirements.
• Ensure requirements are clear, testable, traceable, and aligned with vehicle architecture.
• Collaborate with system, software, hardware, and validation teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Perform impact analysis and support change management for evolving requirements.
• Maintain end-to-end traceability among stakeholder needs, system, and verification artifacts.
• Promote best practices in requirements engineering and process improvement.
• Interface with stakeholders to clarify expectations and support decisions.
• Travel/relocation to client sites across the U.S. as needed.
