IT Support Specialist

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

02+ Months Short-term assignment Possibility of Extension

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to provide on-site technical support during a paternity leave coverage. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, able to quickly adapt to our environment, and capable of working autonomously with limited oversight from Business Unit IT.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive manufacturing IT support including networking, MDOS, and shop floor triage
• Serve as the sole on-site IT resource, requiring strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ensure system operational support maintaining effectiveness, efficiency, accuracy, and availability
• Perform routine maintenance, facilitate customization and changes, and ensure system disaster recovery
• Lead new employee technology setup, including computer configuration and system access provisioning
• Resolve complex technical issues and implement authorized changes and upgrades
• Conduct preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks
• Monitor system performance and accuracy
• Perform complex root-cause analysis to identify and address issues
• Document knowledge and solutions for organizational use
• Coach and mentor less experienced team members as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in manufacturing IT support environments
• Strong understanding of computers, handheld devices, and tablets
• Proficiency in wireless networking
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand end-user requirements
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience with system disaster recovery procedures
• Skilled in performing preventative maintenance on IT systems and networks
