We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for employees across both office and manufacturing environments. This role serves as the primary point of contact for IT incidents, service requests, and technical assistance, ensuring users receive timely and effective support while minimizing operational disruptions.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical troubleshooting skills with excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support for end users across office and manufacturing locations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network connectivity, user access, and system-related issues.
- Serve as the primary contact for IT incidents, service requests, and technical inquiries.
- Document support tickets, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions to maintain an accurate knowledge base.
- Escalate complex technical issues as needed while keeping users informed throughout the resolution process.
- Deploy, configure, upgrade, and replace desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Manage IT asset inventories, track equipment lifecycles, and coordinate hardware refresh initiatives.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including system setup and account provisioning.
- Assist users with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other business-critical applications.
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support activities, and system changes.
- Generate reports and analyze support trends to identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Support manufacturing-floor technology and ensure minimal impact to production operations.
- Collaborate with regional IT teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Promote cybersecurity awareness and assist with security and compliance initiatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong working relationships across the organization.
Qualifications
- Experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 desktop or technical support.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, and user account issues.
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Knowledge of device deployment, configuration, and asset management processes.
- Ability to document technical issues and maintain accurate records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to support users of varying technical backgrounds.
- Customer-first mindset with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple support requests effectively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
Pay range
Salary: $71,000 - $76,000 annually
