Job summary

The City of Brea is seeking Information Technology Specialists I/II to maintain, operate, and enhance city computer and information systems across LAN/WAN infrastructure. The roles involve troubleshooting, documenting procedures, and coordinating with agencies and vendors.

Entry-level IT Specialist I supports diverse users while II offers greater complexity and independence. Applicants should meet minimum experience and education requirements and possess relevant certifications or an associate

Qualifications

Two years of progressive experience in information systems operations and maintenance.
Associate degree or equivalent in computer science, MIS, business administration or closely related field.
III: three years of experience for II level; bachelor’s degree desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for hardware, software, network, and telecommunications problems.
Develop documentation for applications or procedures.
Test and integrate new hardware/software and coordinate with agencies and vendors.
Monitor systems, networks and security; act as systems administrator for LAN/WAN.
Provide end-user support for Microsoft 365 apps and features.
