Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are tracked
• Support project managers in planning, scheduling and executing infrastructure initiatives

• Track milestones, risks, issues and action items; provide status updates

Location: Mineola, NY & Eastern Long Island locations

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

Pay: $45 - $50/hr W2

Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator to support infrastructure initiatives within a large healthcare system. This role will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clinical/operational stakeholders to ensure timely execution of infrastructure projects including network upgrades, hardware deployments, system migrations, and data center initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities for IT infrastructure projects, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and dependencies are tracked and met
• Support project managers in planning, scheduling, and executing infrastructure-related initiatives
• Act as a liaison between technical teams (network, server, cloud) and hospital stakeholders
• Track project milestones, risks, issues, and action items; provide regular status updates
• Assist with resource coordination, including vendors, internal teams, and third-party partners
• Maintain project documentation, including project plans, meeting notes, and reports
• Ensure compliance with healthcare IT standards, security protocols, and organizational policies
• Coordinate change management activities, including maintenance windows and communication plans
• Support procurement and inventory tracking for infrastructure hardware and software

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–5 years of experience supporting IT projects, preferably in infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with IT infrastructure components (networks, servers, storage, cloud platforms)
• Experience with project coordination tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a hospital or healthcare system
• Knowledge of healthcare IT environments (e.g., EMR systems, HIPAA compliance)
• Exposure to vendors such as Cisco, VMware, Azure, or AWS
• PMP, CAPM, or similar project management certification (or in progress)
