Job summary

California DMV is seeking an Information Analyst in the Information Systems Division (ISD) Salesforce Group at DMV Headquarters in Sacramento, CA. You will translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions and manage requirements throughout Agile and waterfall lifecycles.

You’ll lead integration testing, resolve defects, and collaborate with developers and testers to ensure high-quality releases.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, or related modern development technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Octane).
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business needs and translate them into clear technical and functional requirements.
  • Shape system design for mainframe and web applications, reports, and print outputs.
  • Use industry-standard tools for requirements, defect, test, and data management.
  • Lead major IT projects, creating mock-ups, models, diagrams, and screen/page designs.
  • Facilitate requirements and design sessions (JRD/JAD) and perform gap analyses.
  • Support and mentor teammates during integration testing and collaborate to resolve defects.
  • Execute test scripts, manage test data, report defects, and ensure full traceability across requirements.
  • Validate release packages to ensure accuracy and integrity.
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels and deliver clear project updates and documentation.
  • Experience with Salesforce, MuleSoft, or related modern development technologies
  • Strong research, analytical, creative problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Highly resourceful with the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership capability
  • Strong ability to manage priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Experience analyzing business requirements and converting them into technical specifications
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Octane)
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC, including both waterfall and Agile approaches
  • Experience applying project management principles and practices

Join DMV’s Information Systems Division (ISD) as an Information Analyst in the Business Services Salesforce Group and help power the technology behind services relied on by millions of Californians. We’re looking for a bold, tech‑savvy analyst ready to dive into modern platforms like EPN, RAP, CRIMS, and CHAP—and help move them to the next level.

In this role, you’ll be the go‑to problem solver and requirements expert, turning business needs into smart, scalable, and secure solutions. You’ll guide projects through both Agile and waterfall lifecycles, manage and track requirements, lead integration testing, resolve defects, and work closely with developers and testers to ensure high‑quality releases.
