Job summary

Malheur County is seeking a qualified Information Systems Coordinator to lead and support the County’s technology infrastructure. The role involves developing, implementing and maintaining the County’s information systems, networks, servers and databases, as well as administering web applications and security policies.

You will supervise IS staff and work closely with the Information Systems Director to ensure reliable IT services for county offices in Vale and Ontario, including staff training

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience in Information Systems or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred or equivalent experience meeting knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and maintains computer operating systems including Windows 11 and Windows Server.
• Manages acquisition, installation and maintenance of LAN hardware/software.
• Manages server OS including Windows Server, Exchange, SQL Server, RedHat, CentOS, Debian.
• Maintains databases and designs/maintains web-based applications and intranets.
• Ensures security, licensing, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
