Job summary

Ramsey County is seeking an IS Security Supervisor to oversee Information Security staff, coordinate cybersecurity operations, and align efforts with county IT goals. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to foster an effective team across departments.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory or coordinating IT or cybersecurity experience and excellent organizational and planning skills to manage complex projects and ensure reliable security services county-wide.

Qualifications

• Eight years of tech hardware/OS admin or data network experience, with at least two years in senior/lead roles.
• Experience supervising IT or cybersecurity staff.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to build an effective and collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day work of Information Security staff.
• Coordinate cybersecurity operations, incidents, priorities, assignments and service activities.
• Work collaboratively across Information Services to support effective technology operations.
• Communicate operational issues, cybersecurity risks and significant concerns to Information Services management and ensure follow-through.
