Job summary

Thurston County is seeking an IT Supervisor to lead a nine-member Network Team within the Information Technology Department. The role oversees the installation, maintenance, and operation of the County's LAN/WAN, with responsibility for security, data communications, and service quality across county offices.

The incumbent manages priorities, staffing, budgets, and staff development, and coordinates large-scale infrastructure projects and vendor relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information, GIS or related field required.
• Progressive responsibility with at least two years in a supervisory capacity required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage technical installation, maintenance, enhancement and operation of the County's LAN/WAN.
• Prepare and justify budget for assigned operations and analyze cost/benefit of hardware/software changes.
• Provide technical guidance to IT staff and interface with third-party support personnel.
