Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Policy Manager, Information Integrity in San Francisco to define and refine platform policies and coordinate with Policy Scaling, Regional Policy, Product, and Legal teams. You will guide enforcement processes and align stakeholders for complex regulatory requests.

You will serve as a policy expert, staying ahead of industry trends, engaging external stakeholders, and supporting the wider Policy Development team to deliver high-quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety or related field.
• Knowledge in misinformation, election integrity, civic integrity, identity deception, and coordinated inauthentic behavior.
• Excellent writing, editing, and executive communication skills.
• Strong policy judgment across multiple issue areas and stakeholders.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, legal, comms, operations, enforcement, public policy and data science.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong understanding of online safety and platform governance.
• Degree in public policy, international relations, law, technology policy, political science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Draft and refine Information Integrity policies for downstream teams.
• Collaborate with Policy Scaling, Regional Policy, and Product teams to improve content policies and enforcement.
• Engage with Legal and Public Policy teams to ensure compliance and advise on regulations.
• Act as global escalation point and align stakeholders for emergency policy decisions.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and design policies to address them.
• Represent Information Integrity efforts and coordinate with Regional Policy, Public Policy, Comms, Outreach & Partnerships.
• Engage with external stakeholders to incorporate outside expertise into TikTok’s policies.
• Support strategic vision for the Policy Development team and optimize policy iteration, implementation, and training.
