Job summary

Healthcare Center Wellness Clinic in St. Augustine, FL seeks a Medical Director specialist in Infectious Disease for an outpatient role. The physician will oversee care for chronic and acute conditions, maintain no nights or weekends schedule, and supervise mid-level providers in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must hold an MD or DO with an active medical license in the appropriate state.
• Must have valid DEA registration and Furnishing license.
• Outpatient primary care experience is required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported setting.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary care services and meet productivity targets.
• Oversee scheduling to minimize no-shows and ensure patient flow.
• Document visits on the day of service or within 72 hours with accurate billing codes.
• Collaborate with care teams and supervise mid-level providers (PAs/NPs).
• Deliver care for chronic and acute conditions, including HIV and STIs as needed.
• Assist with after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Participate in performance improvement and patient retention activities.
