Job summary

Our Healthcare Center Wellness Clinic in St. Augustine, FL is seeking a Medical Director with an MD or DO and board certification in Infectious Disease, Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Infectious Disease to lead outpatient care.

The role emphasizes seeing 14–18 patients daily, supervising PAs/NPs, ensuring timely documentation, and maintaining robust productivity while providing after-hours on-call coverage. On-site, full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO with an active, state-appropriate medical license.
• Must have valid DEA registration and Furnishing License.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported environment.
• Must have active CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Collaborate with care team to support patient well-being.
• Oversee patient scheduling and reduce no-shows.
• Complete documentation the same day or within 72 hours with accurate billing codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic and acute conditions.
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs and NPs) with chart reviews/audits.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Receive 4 hours of protected administrative time weekly.
