Job summary

Hire Consulting Services seeks a Medical Director (Infectious Disease) for our outpatient facility in St. Augustine, FL. You’ll join a fully staffed, mission-driven team dedicated to serving the local community.

You will supervise mid-level providers, manage 14–18 patient visits daily, ensure timely documentation and billing, and collaborate across departments. Requires MD/DO, active license, DEA, and CPR/BLS; competitive compensation with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active medical license.
• DEA registration and Furnishing license.
• Outpatient primary care experience.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Collaborate with care team to support patient well-being.
• Oversee patient scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet productivity benchmarks.
• Complete documentation the same day of the visit, or within 72 hours, including accurate E/M billing codes.
• Deliver primary care services for chronic conditions and acute issues.
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs and NPs) including chart reviews or audits.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Full-time physicians receive 4 hours of protected administrative time per week per policy.
