The IP acts as a practitioner, resource, consultant, educator and facilitator across multiple locations, focusing on infection prevention, outcome surveillance, outbreak management and employee health.

The role requires RN licensure in the state, specialized IP training within 90 days, and at least three years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years full-time nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support new hire orientation by providing infection prevention and control training for newly hired employees.
• Create and implement education programs in response to identified infection control needs through QAPI, rounding, or quality measures.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and maintain IPCP to ensure quality of patient care related to infections and communicable diseases.
