Job summary

Genesiscareers in Rhode Island is seeking an Infection Preventionist (IP) to lead the IPCP across nursing centers. The role requires RN licensure, a focus on infection prevention, and collaboration with staff to safeguard patient and resident health.

You will develop and deliver training, monitor surveillance, and respond to outbreaks while supporting employee health and compliance with quality measures. This is an on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with RN licensure.
• Specialized infection prevention training within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum of three years full-time nursing experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours for evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) across locations.
• Support new hire orientation with infection prevention training.
• Create and implement IPC education programs responding to identified needs.
• Develop, implement, monitor and maintain IPCP for quality of care including outbreaks and employee health.
