• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required.
• Current Registered Nurse license required.
• CIC certification preferred and CIC within 3 years of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Abstracts data from patient charts for surveillance and statistics.
• Reports surveillance findings to department leadership and Medical Director.
• Maintains infection records; analyzes surveillance data and recommends improvements.
• Advocates for patients and staff; creates and revises infection prevention policies.
• Assists with investigations of exposures to communicable diseases and occupational exposures.
• Collaborates on construction moisture management investigations and recommendations.
• Identifies unsafe infection control practices and designs solutions.
• Acts as a resource on infection prevention; may serve on committees.
• Collaborates with epidemiologist and other teams on policy development and outbreak control.
