Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking an Infection Prevention professional to manage day-to-day programs across facilities, clinics and services in Georgia. You will lead surveillance, data collection and policy development to reduce infection risks.

The role requires RN licensure, CIC preferred, strong data analysis, and collaboration with leadership to implement improvements within the hospital system.

Qualifications

• Must speak and understand English fluently.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or healthcare related field required.
• Current applicable state license as a Registered Nurse required.
• CIC certification preferred and required within 3 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• abstracts data from patient charts for surveillance and focus studies; develops data collection tools.
• Reports routine and significant epidemiological findings to department leadership.
• Maintains records of infections and analyzes surveillance data; recommends improvements.
• Advocates for patients, visitors and healthcare workers; creates and revises infection prevention policies.
• Assists with investigations related to healthcare workers and exposures to communicable diseases.
• Identifies unsafe infection control practices and designs alternative solutions.
• Serves as a resource on infection prevention issues and may join committees.
