Regional One Health is seeking a dedicated Infection Prevention professional to oversee surveillance, data analysis, and adherence to infection control standards in the Memphis area. The role emphasizes collaboration with clinical teams, regulatory bodies, and hospital leadership to reduce infection risk.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, CIC certification within 3 years, and RN licensure with at least 1 year in acute care or infection prevention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• CIC – Certified in Infection Control within 3 years of hire.
• RN licensure in state and/or compact state licensure.
• MTA – Medical Technologist certification.
• Minimum 1 year experience in acute care clinical experience, laboratory (microbiology/virology) experience, infection prevention or public health experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing surveillance to promote infection prevention and adherence to standards.
• Analyze data and report hospital-acquired infections and trends.
• Educate staff on infection control practices and risk prevention.
• Respond to emergencies and implement corrective actions for non‑compliance.
• Coordinate with nursing, occupational health and departments to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports and assist in quality/performance improvement projects.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology

CIC – Certified in Infection Control by the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. (CBIC)

RN – Registered Nurse – State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure upon hire

MTA – Medical Technologist Certification upon hire
