Job summary

Genesis is seeking an Infection Preventionist to lead the nursing center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) across multiple locations. The role requires infection prevention expertise, training delivery, and program development to protect patients and staff.

Qualified candidates are RNs with state licensure, willing to complete IPC training within 90 days, and able to work flexible hours to accommodate evening and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing. 8 RN, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Must complete specialized training in infection prevention and control within 90 days of hire.
• A minimum of three years full-time or equivalent nursing experience is required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours in order to meet with employees working evening and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing center's Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP) across multiple locations, acting as practitioner, educator and facilitator.
• Provide infection prevention and control training to new hires and staff.
• Develop, implement, monitor and maintain IPCP to ensure high-quality patient care and prevention of infections.
