Job summary

Reading Hospital is seeking an Infection Prevention Leader responsible for preventing healthcare associated infections through surveillance, analysis, and reporting. You will develop policies, train staff, and serve as a senior resource and advocate for infection prevention across the Tower Health system.

The role reports to the System Director of Epidemiology and Infection Prevention and supports organizational standards, quality care, and compliance with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• Infection prevention knowledge and experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare settings favored.
• Certification in infection control preferred or pursued within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Help prevent healthcare associated infections by isolating sources and limiting spread.
• Conduct surveillance, rounding, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of HAIs.
• Support development of infection prevention policies meeting regulatory standards.
• Train staff in infection prevention principles.
• Lead as a resource, educator, researcher, and change advocate to improve infection prevention.
