Bachelor degree in Nursing, Biology, Microbiology, Medical Technology, Epidemiology, or MPH is required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in acute care hospital; Infection Prevention experience preferred.
RN licensure in North Carolina or equivalent; CIC within 3 years of hire if not certified and maintain ongoing certification requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform and coordinate surveillance to identify healthcare-associated infections and other adverse outcomes.
Review clinical/laboratory data in assigned areas to identify infectious conditions requiring action.
Educate staff and develop infection prevention programs and materials.
