Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Connecticut is seeking an RN Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator to lead the facility's infection prevention program and deliver clinical education.

The role supports regulatory compliance and quality care, with a focus on outcomes and staff development. The position requires CT licensure, 2+ years in infection prevention and CMS/DPH standards, CPR/BLS, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered CT or Compact State RN licensure.
• 2+ years in infection prevention, staff development, and CMS/CDC/OSHA/DPH compliance.
• ICP certification preferred.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS.
• RN must communicate fluently in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with infection control regulations by monitoring practices, investigating outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver staff education, orientation, and ongoing clinical training to support regulatory compliance and quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs, promote best practices, and improve resident outcomes.
• Maintain infection control records, monitor trends, and serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and staff development.

RN Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator| St. Joseph's Living Center

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus

Full-Time | 40hrs per week

Monday – Friday | 8:00AM – 4:00PM | On-Call every 4th weekend

Qualifications For Success

• Active, unencumbered CT or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• 2+ years prior experience in infection prevention and control, staff development, and regulatory compliance with CMS, CDC, OSHA, and Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) standards preferred.
• ICP certification preferred
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS
• RN Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
