Job summary

Harmony Health & Rehab in Fitzgerald, GA is seeking an Infection Control / Staff Development RN to lead our IPCP in a 120-bed skilled nursing environment. You will educate staff on infection control practices, oversee mandatory trainings, and partner with leadership to maintain a clean, safe facility while supporting resident safety.

Qualifications

• Registered RN with knowledge of infection prevention, employee health, and staff development.
• Strong communication and teaching skills to support staff growth and compliance.
• Ability to investigate outbreaks and implement corrective actions.
• Organized and detail-oriented with education and infection prevention responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead our Infection Prevention & Control Program (IPCP), including monitoring, reporting, and managing infections in compliance with CDC, state, and federal guidelines.
• Educate staff on infection control practices, isolation protocols, and resident safety.
• Oversee staff orientation, mandatory trainings, and ongoing in-service education across all departments.
• Partner with leadership to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment.
• Serve as the on-site leader for infection control initiatives, including COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Monitor public health advisories and keep policies and practices up to date with current standards.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on staffing needs and participate in on-call rotation.
