Job summary

Reliable Health Care Management in Rockmart, GA is seeking a dedicated Infection Preventionist (LPN or RN) to lead infection prevention and staff development initiatives. You will develop, implement and monitor infection prevention policies, conduct surveillance, provide education to staff, and coordinate orientation and competency assessments for nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN licensure in Georgia.
• Experience in infection prevention and control within a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of CDC guidelines, OSHA regulations, and other relevant infection control standards.
• Experience or interest in staffing development, including training and competency evaluation.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare reports related to infection control and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control policies and procedures in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conduct surveillance and data analysis to identify infection trends and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control.
• Coordinate staffing development initiatives including orientation, ongoing education, and competency assessments for nursing staff.
• Assist in the development and implementation of staff scheduling and workforce planning to meet patient care needs.
• Maintain accurate records related to infection control and staff development activities.
• Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory surveys as needed.
