Job summary

Harmony Health & Rehab seeks an Infection Control / Staff Development RN to lead IPCP efforts, monitor infections, educate staff, and ensure compliance with CDC and state guidelines.

Responsibilities include overseeing orientation and ongoing trainings, partnering with leadership to maintain a safe facility, and acting as on-site infection control leader, including COVID-19 prevention and response.

Qualifications

• RN with knowledge of infection prevention and staff development practices.
• Strong communication and teaching skills to support staff growth and compliance.
• Ability to investigate outbreaks and implement corrective actions.
• Organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage education and infection prevention.

Responsibilities

• Lead Infection Prevention & Control Program (IPCP) including monitoring and reporting.
• Educate staff on infection control practices and resident safety.
• Oversee staff orientation, trainings, and ongoing education.
• Partner with leadership to keep facility environment clean and compliant.
• Serve as on-site leader for infection control initiatives including COVID-19 prevention.
• Monitor public health advisories and update policies accordingly.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on staffing needs and on-call rotation.

• Lead our Infection Prevention & Control Program (IPCP), including monitoring, reporting, and managing infections in compliance with CDC, state, and federal guidelines.
• Educate staff on infection control practices, isolation protocols, and resident safety.
• Oversee staff orientation, mandatory trainings, and ongoing in-service education across all departments.
• Partner with leadership to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment.
• Serve as the on-site leader for infection control initiatives, including COVID-19 prevention and response.
• Monitor public health advisories and keep policies and practices up to date with current standards.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on staffing needs and participate in on-call rotation.
