Job summary

Miller County Hospital is seeking an experienced infection control leader to design, implement, and direct infection control programs for a Nursing Home setting. The role includes surveillance, data analysis, reporting, and driving a Performance Improvement program to meet regulatory standards.

The position covers employee health services, infectious waste management, and educating staff to reduce risk and ensure patient safety in line with CDC and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Infection control/epidemiology knowledge and regulatory licensure mandates.
• Familiar with CDC guidance and local/state regulations.
• Leadership in cost-effective prevention of disease transmission.

Responsibilities

• Designs and directs infection control programs within the facility.
• Performs surveillance, analysis, and reporting of infections.
• Supports the Performance Improvement program and data analysis.
• Educates staff on infection control and employee health practices.
• Coaches staff on regulatory compliance and QA activities.
