Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh, NE is seeking an Infection Control Manager in the Nursing department to lead infection prevention programs, track infections, and coordinate staff education. The role reports to the CEO and requires collaboration with health authorities to meet CDC guidelines and CMS quality standards.

The manager will oversee vaccinations, employee health, and ongoing education, ensuring regulatory readiness and continuous improvement across infection control metrics.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited school of nursing or college; current RN license in Nebraska.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of infection transmission and prevention principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead infection prevention efforts and outbreak response with local health authorities and CDC as needed.
• Educate staff on hand hygiene, PPE, and infection prevention best practices.
• Collaborate with providers, lab, nursing, administration, and public health to implement infection prevention protocols.
• Track, analyze, and report healthcare associated infections to NHSN and CMS quality measures.
• Coordinate education programs and maintain the facility learning management system.
• Review and revise infection control and employee health policies and procedures.
