Qualifikationen

• RN with Georgia state licensure required.
• BS degree desirable.
• Experience in infection control/epidemiology guidelines and regulatory mandates.
• Knowledge of CDC recommendations and state/federal regulations.
• Ability to lead cost-effective prevention of transmissible diseases.
• Active BCLS certification.

Aufgaben

• Designs and directs the infection control program for the nursing home.
• Manages infectious waste management system and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinates the facility Performance Improvement (QI) and quality initiatives.
• Provides education and guidance to hospital staff, patients/residents, and families.
• Performs surveillance, analysis, reporting, and action planning to reduce risk.
• Communicates with Medical Staff and regulatory agencies; maintains IC records.
• Maintains quarterly IC committee reports and supports QA activities.
