Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Connecticut is seeking an Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator (RN or LPN) to lead infection prevention, drive staff education, and support high-quality resident care across the facility.

The role focuses on surveillance, audits, data analysis, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes. Strong communication and clinical leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered CT RN or LPN licensure.
• 2+ years of experience as a clinical nurse in long-term care.
• ICP certification preferred but not required.
• Current CPR certifications, including BLS.
• RN ability to communicate fluently in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by monitoring practices, investigating outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver staff education, orientation, and ongoing clinical training to support regulatory compliance and quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs, promote best practices, and improve resident outcomes.
• Maintain infection control records, monitor trends, and serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and staff development.

Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator - RN or LPN | St. Joseph's Living Center
$100,000 - $102,000/annually, based off of experience

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus

Full-Time | 40hrs per week
Monday - Friday | 8:00AM - 4:00PM | On-Call every 4th weekend

• Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives.
