Job summary

St. Joseph's Living Center in Windham, CT seeks an Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator (RN or LPN) for a full-time role, leading the infection control program and staff education to uphold regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care.

Salary is $100,000–$102,000 per year with a $4,000 sign-on bonus. Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, on-call every 4th weekend, on-site with a collaborative, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Active CT RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years as a clinical nurse in long-term care.
• CPR/BLS certification current.

Responsibilities

• Lead the infection prevention program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and QA.
• Monitor practices, investigate outbreaks, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver staff education and ongoing clinical training.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs and improve outcomes.
• Maintain infection control records and monitor trends.
