St. Joseph's Living Center in Connecticut is seeking an Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator (RN or LPN) to lead infection prevention, conduct audits, and deliver staff training.

The role offers a $100,000–$102,000 annual salary plus a $4,000 sign-on bonus, full-time schedule, and on-call weekends every fourth week. Hours are 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a focus on resident safety and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Active CT RN or LPN licensure.
• 2+ years in long-term care nursing.
• ICP certification preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certifications.

Responsabilités

• Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and QI initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with infection control regulations by monitoring practices, investigating outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver staff education, orientation, and ongoing clinical training to support regulatory compliance and quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs, promote best practices, and improve resident outcomes.
• Maintain infection control records, monitor trends, and serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and staff development.
