Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking infantry Soldiers to perform reconnaissance, operate weapons, and support mobilization efforts. You will train part-time while earning a paycheck and qualifying for education benefits. The role emphasizes teamwork, physical and mental fitness, and adherence to military standards.

Training includes 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with a mix of classroom and field instruction, preparing you for combat operations and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Age 17–35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam.
• Citizenship requirements as specified.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ, fire, and recover mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons.
