Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks Infantry Soldiers to perform reconnaissance, weapons operation, and teamwork under demanding conditions. You will gain skills through 14 weeks of Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with field exercises and classroom instruction.

You’ll receive a paid paycheck, eligibility for Montgomery GI Bill, tuition assistance, and retirement benefits for part-time service, alongside health care coverage and life insurance options.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in Army National Guard.
• Must be at least junior in high school or have HS diploma or GED.
• Ages 17–35.
• Pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Operate and maintain weapon systems.
• Engage targets with night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a fire team member during training and missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
