Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking an Infantryman who will participate in reconnaissance, weapon operations, and combat team activities. You will train to deploy, engage, and navigate challenging environments while developing discipline and teamwork.

The role includes paid training, tuition assistance, and benefits, with pay during drill weekends and annual training. Qualifications include enlistment, age 17–35, and citizenship requirements.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including engaging targets using night vision sights
• Operate and maintain communications equipment
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents
• Aid in the mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry
• Use, maintain, and store combat weapons (e.g., rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, etc.)
