Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking Infantry personnel to fill frontline roles, conduct reconnaissance, operate weapons systems, and perform as part of a fire team during training and missions. You will train and serve while earning a regular paycheck during drill weekends and qualify for education benefits.

Requirements include Army National Guard enlistment, age 17–35, and passing physical exams. This role offers life-long skills, retirement benefits for part-time service, and access to tuition

Qualifications

• Enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconnaissance operations.
• Employ and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines.
• Operate weapon systems under various conditions, including night vision sights.
• Operate and maintain communications equipment.
• Perform as a member of a fire team during training and combat missions.
• Process prisoners of war and captured documents.
• Aid in mobilization of vehicles, troops, and weaponry.
• Use, maintain and store combat weapons (rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines).
